Psalm 51

Changed behavior requires self awareness and a willingness to be vulnerable

David had to be vulnerable to God and with God about his sin. Remember when he says in verse 3 that he acknowledged his transgressions and his sin against God, he was taking responsibility for what he had done and who he had done it against.

David had to have a willing heart and a self awareness about the change he needed to make.

I myself have had to be honest with God about more bitterness that needed to be uprooted this morning and the medicine for that is forgiveness (we'll talk more about this in a later session).

God and His Holy Spirit gives us self awareness so that His convicting power leads us to change. Change in behaviors, emotions, actions and more.

Keep reading a little of Psalm 51 each day in your reflection time even if it's for one min. Acknowledge God, Be honest with him, he loves the change your making.
